Royal Air Forces Association

Hull & East Riding of Yorkire  Branch

RAFA, The Royal Air Forces Association (or RAF Association), is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF Family.

Whether it’s an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, a young child missing their parent away on overseas operations, or a WWII veteran needing a shoulder to lean on, the Royal Air Forces Association is here to help all generations of RAF Service personnel and their families.

We offer welfare and family support, much-needed breaks, pension and compensation guidance as well as individual support to help injured personnel realise their potential.

The RAFA Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire branch not only supports the RAF Association in their national goals but also the local RAF family through welfare, fundraising and comradeship to Serving RAF personnel, Veterans of the RAF, the Local Air Cadets and the Families of all the above.

Wings Appeal

The Wings Appeal is the RAF Association’s on-going fundraising campaign that runs throughout the year.

It is the fundraising arm of the Association and helps raise the vital funds needed to support serving and former serving RAF personnel and their families, whenever they are in need. Whether it’s an injured airman fighting to get back onto his feet, a young child missing their parent away on overseas operations or a WWII veteran needing a shoulder to lean on. We are here to help.

Friendship

The Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire Branch Committee meets monthly on the first Thursday of every month at the Lord Nelson (163 Endike Lane, Hull, HU6 7UA) at 7.30pm.

We also hold social and fundraising events which can be found on our Events page. All are welcome.

Support

Welfare is at the absolute heart of the Hull Branch. Our reason for existing is as a member-led welfare charity. By association, everyone in the organisation from fundraiser to member, Welfare Officer or Case Worker are all part of the welfare chain.

Check our Welfare page for more information about befriending and support.
